This bed rail set fits Eastern King or Queen beds with head and foot boards. THEY WILL NOT WORK FOR CALIFORNIA KING SIZE. These rails feature hooks on the end for your head board and foot board. They're made of high tensile steel and have double rivets that hold the end plates on. That's important because if these are not strong the head and foot boards will move back and forth. These are approximately 81" in length on the rail lip where the box spring or bed slats will rest and they are approximately 84 1/4" in length from the outer edges of each hook. These rails allow for a box spring and mattress to be used or you could even use bed slats in place of a box spring - we carry slats in our other listings!
